Manual for Volcano ESC

Note, if your throttle reverse setting in your TX is incorrect, it can cause the Programming or operation of the ESC to not work properly.

You must be in the "NORMAL" switch setting and not "3D", "Throttle Hold" or "IDLE Up" switch setting.

Your Throttle curve in the "Normal" switch setting must have 0 value for first value in the throttle curve1(stick low) and near 100% value for the final value in the throttle curve (stick high)

If your swash is repsonsive to your cyclic stick but your esc is still beeping the motor, it may not sense the throttle limits correctly. Reset your throttle limit into the ESC memory:

How to Reset the throttle travel limits in the ESC
1- Center throttle trim - and subtrims (subtrim is done in T6config)
Make sure Normal throttle curve is is 0% at first point and 100% at 5th (top point)
2- Turn off transmitter and unplug power to the heli
3- Verify Idle up switch (left switch) is pushed down (away from you) push throttle stick all the way to high.
4- Turn on the transmitter
5- Plug in power to the heli
6- The ESC will take a second and then beep twice.
7- Quickly - before 2 seconds, push throttle stick all the way down.
8- The esc should go through the normal startup noises..

Settings I use w/ my Blueray:

Brake : off

Battery type: Lipo

Cutt off : Soft Cut

Cutt off threshold : High

Start mode : Super soft start

Timing : Low (alternatively you can use High timing, some people have experianced problems with Med timing on the Alpha motors)
