How to Reverse
an Exceed Gyro that comes w/ the blueray that does NOT have a built in
reverse switch.
Basically,
you need to change the axis that the gyro is sensing. The Exceed gyro
pictured in the video is a rebranded ESKY 704A HH gyro.
It will
sense rotation about an axis that is parallel to the writing on the
gyro. This gyro does NOT lay flat on the gyro pad of a helicopter.
Instead it stands up on it's end as shown in the video.
Depending on
the orientation of your tail servo and the brand of the Tail servo, the
gyro needs to be orientated with the lable facing the LEFT or RIGHT of
the helicopter. NOT UP or down!
Generally, you will mount it with the servo wire header coming out
towards the tail.
To reverse it, rotate the gyro about the tail axis so the label is
facing the other side of the helicopter.
Make
sure you do a gyro test before flying! Reversing the gyro tyipcally
goes hand in hand with either flipping the servo around or changing
your servo where you have had to "reverese" the tail servo in the Tx.
