Blueray SE/PE vs. Genesis/Legend

Comparrison of model classes
Blueray PE & Blueray SE are similar. PE model has an all metal head and tail. SE model has a plastic head and plastic tail.

Genesis & Legend are similar. Genesis model has an all metal head and tail. Legend model has a plastic head and plastic tail.

A Metal head and tail will not only have less slop and flex initially but will develop less slop over time. Metal heads typically survive a crash better than a plastic head. The blade grips on a plastic head are the most likely part to break in a violent crash on the head. The Head and tail are easily upgradable making the Legend or SE models a good choice for your first CP helicopter if you are moving up from a Coaxial or Fixed Pitch.

Blueray vs. Genesis/Legend comparrison
Blueray is more parts compatible w/ the Trex SEV2 than the Genesis. The Genesis has a unique Mainshaft as well as Tail Belt  that only Xheli will stock. It is advised that if you purchase a Genesis or Legend that you purchase a few mainshafts and possibly a tail belt ahead of time so that if Xheli is out of stock you are not without parts.  All the major crash components (Boom, main gear, main shaft, flybar, spindle) are all Trex SEV2 compatible(sometimes a little Tweeking is needed on the boom). It is almost always less expensive to purchase from Xheli the spare parts but if they are ever out of stock, you can purchase Trex SEv2 parts for most of the components).

The Genesis has a single large gear up front for the tail. This is a design that is more simple than the Blueray or Trex SEv2 and likely is more efficiant. Similar to the Esky Honey Bee King 2, the single main gear up front drives the tail directly from the main shaft instead of using 2 seperate gears like the blueray or Trex SEv2 model. Since the belt goes all the way up front around the main shaft, the belt is different on a Genesis/Legend vs. Blueray. You also need to remove the main gear and pull the main shaft up and out if you ever want to remove the tail on the Genesis/Legend. On the Blueray, you need to loosen the bottom rear servo so you can tilt it up then loosen the 4 screws on the tail boom block and unhook the tail belt up front to remove the tail mechanics (plus remove the boom struts of course on either model). The Genesis also has the 2 CCPM swash servos up front on outside mounted servo plates. This makes the front servos easier to access for maintanance/replacement. In a crash, there is not alot of difference in how much time it takes to dissasemble, probably the same amount of work overall since you have to remove the shaft and maingear anyway.

The frames of the Blueray, Genesis, Legend are unique and do not match the Trex brand.
